Story
An experience that speaks volumes.
Lichens is the result of Once upon a time, there was a group dedicated to making a positive impact in the mining industry. They aimed to provide technological means to enhance performance, both in terms of production and environmental sustainability.
This group first came together at Amotus, an IoT service company with 25 employees, which worked on dozens of cutting-edge technology projects for internationally renowned companies.
After the sale of Amotus to DimOnOff, the group launched BEAP. From the beginning, its vision was to reduce the environmental impact of major polluters using innovative technologies. They introduced a platform for asset integrity management with AI tools capable of calculating asset deterioration and their end of life. In 2022, BEAP was acquired by Norda Stelo, a Quebec engineering firm.
Renamed Stelar, the platform continues with the goal of integrating Norda Stelo’s collective expertise into a single product.
Building on these experiences, the five same shareholders of BEAP launched Lichens Innovation, a firm dedicated to designing and integrating cutting-edge technological solutions to address specific operational and corporate challenges in the mining industry.
