Simplify the management of your authorization requirements

Enviro is the day-to-day work system for the environment department's operations. It structures the work around requirements, centralizes sensor data and speeds up report writing.

If the ministry visited you tomorrow, how long would it take to show that a condition is being met?

01

Scattered requirements

Obligations are often spread across several systems. No single place shows the requirements in force with their frequency and their actual status.

02

Running the program

Knowing what is due, when and by whom relies on people rather than on a structure. The work is usually done well, but it remains vulnerable to staff turnover.

03

Producing the reports

The report is pieced together from different sources once the period has closed. It is a heavy, long and tedious task.

Enviro sits on top of what already exists. An advanced organization gains the structure that links its systems to its requirements. A less-equipped organization also gains the work tools it was missing.

01 / 04

Authorization or Commitment

The library brings together authorization applications, issued authorizations, the order in council and the commitments made by the site, each with its version, its dates, the infrastructure it covers and the requirements that flow from it. An authorization that is expiring or up for renewal is flagged in time, since every renewal is an opportunity for the ministry to revisit the conditions.

02 / 04

Requirement

Each condition is broken down into individual requirements: what is measured, where, how often, against which threshold, what evidence to keep and which report it feeds. Each requirement keeps its exact source, whether a section of an authorization, a table in Directive 019 or a clause of a community agreement. None is activated until your team has validated it.

03 / 04

Task

The requirement generates the year's dated tasks, assigned to an internal team or a contracted firm. A completed task records its timestamp, its operator, its equipment and its measurement point. One that could not be done stays visible with its justification, so a missed sample is not discovered only when the report is due.

04 / 04

Report

The template the authority expects, or the summary the monitoring committee expects, fills itself from laboratory results, sensors and completed tasks. No data is re-entered between the measurement taken at the station and the line that is filed.

Every piece of data in a report traces back to the commitment or condition that made it necessary.

Everyone opens the same system and sees only what concerns them

The environmental program involves people who have neither the same questions nor the same responsibilities. Each finds their own view, fed by the same requirement structure, so there are no figures from different places to reconcile.

They see their plan for the week, overdue tasks and forms to fill in, with the requirement that justifies each task. Their view is a work plan, not a dashboard.

They see program completion, compliance status by requirement, open deviations and upcoming filing deadlines. They know what will be due on March 31 before March even begins.

It sees only the scope of its mandate. It receives its tasks in the system, uploads its results and reports there, and the data stays with the site when the mandate ends.

Management sees each site's compliance status and can demonstrate the measures taken at any time, which is at the heart of the due diligence expected of executives.

Water, noise, dust, vibration: each medium, its own monitoring

What we measure

Final effluent (TSS, pH, metals, cyanides, ammonia, toxicity), groundwater in a network of observation wells, withdrawn volumes and dewatering, water balance.

What Enviro does

Simultaneous comparison against the applicable regimes, sampling program, threshold alerts, compilation of declarations and water balance.

What we measure

Sound levels at the receptor points, meaning the nearest homes, for daytime and night-time periods.

What Enviro does

Planned measurement campaigns, sound level meter data linked to the receptor points, comparison against the authorization's criteria, complaint register and response follow-up.

What we measure

Airborne particulates at the site boundaries and near receptors, dustfall and its sources: roads, crushing, waste rock piles.

What Enviro does

Sensor data cross-referenced with the weather, a concentration map, tracking of mitigation measures (watering, dust suppressant) and related complaints.

What we measure

Ground vibration velocity and air overpressure at every blast, at the measurement points near buildings, along with the time of the blast.

What Enviro does

Each blast is linked to its seismograph readings and compared against the authorization's limits, with a history per measurement point and a link to neighbour complaints.

Monitoring areas

Mine tailings and dikes

Inspections, independent reviews, geotechnical instrumentation.

Hazardous materials and spills

Storage, registers, immediate reporting of accidental releases.

Greenhouse gases and emissions

Compilation of annual declarations.

Wetlands and wildlife

Compensation commitments and biological monitoring.

Biodiversity

Monitoring of progressive work and post-restoration monitoring.

Greening and canopy

Plantings, vegetation cover and survival monitoring.

Enviro does not replace the systems in place. It builds on them and adds what was missing: the link between the requirement, the action and the evidence.

Implementation

Enviro is implemented by experienced environmental professionals

Implementation is led by people who have run monitoring programs at operating sites themselves. They know the authorizations, the directives and what authorities expect from a report.

Reading your authorizations

Requirements are extracted, qualified and validated with your team, section by section.

Configuring your program

Stations, frequencies, calculation rules and report templates are set up to match your reality.

Handover to your team

Training and support until the first report is produced in Enviro.
